Alimbay Mederkul Medetzhankyzy was born on July 6, 1995, in Targap village, Zhambyl
District, Almaty Region. In 2012, she graduated from the 11th grade of Targap Secondary
School and was admitted to the specialty «5B071100 – Geodesy and Cartography» at the
Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics, Faculty of Geography and Environmental
Sciences of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. After completing the four-year course, she
was awarded the degree of Bachelor of Engineering and Technology in 2016. In the same year,
she entered the Master’s program in the specialty «6M074100 – Cartography» at the same
university, and in 2018, under the supervision of Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor
R.T. Bekseitova, she successfully defended her master’s thesis titled «The structure of
cartographic basis agricultural land of Almaty region (in example of Zhambul area)»,
earning the degree of Master of Technical Sciences. During the 2023–2024 academic year, she
was employed as a specialist at the Scientific Research Laboratory «Geodesy, Photogrammetry,
and Digital Cartography» of the Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics. In 2024, she
was admitted to the PhD doctoral program «8D07303 – Cartography» at the same university. She
is currently working as a lecturer at the Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics.
